LAURIE FREEMAN, PhD

Laurie Freeman, PhD is a licensed psychologist, certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist/Supervisor (EFT), and a certified Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapist (AEDP). She has more than twenty years experience in private practice.

 

She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her Doctorate from Teachers College of Columbia University.

 

She completed the Ackerman Institute Two Year Externship.

 

She supervises therapists who are learning EFT at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University.  She also assists in EFT trainings through the Ackerman Institute, and leads supervision groups.  

 

Laurie Freeman is on the Board of NYC Parents In Action, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping parents communicate about parenting experiences; she facilitates parenting groups in the NYC Independent Schools and leads the training of volunteer facilitators for NYC Parents In Action.
